Translation into English · $7 CAD per document

Your resumé, in English.

Send your resumé or cover letter in any language. For $7 CAD we translate it into clear, natural English that employers in Canada and the US expect to read, back 24 hours from payment and complete information.

What you get

A faithful English translation of your resumé or cover letter. We keep your content, your section order and your layout, and translate every line into the wording an employer here expects.

  • Natural English, not word for word. Job titles, duties and skills are written the way employers in Canada and the US say them.
  • Original names kept where they matter. School, employer and degree names stay as they are, with an English translation in brackets.
  • The right spelling. Canadian or American English, depending on where you are applying.
  • A heads-up on local norms. If your resumé has something employers here do not expect, such as a photo, your date of birth or your marital status, we point it out in our reply so you can decide.

Translation, or translation and a full edit?

A translation keeps what you wrote. It does not rewrite your bullet points, change your format or add anything new. If your resumé was written for another country's job market, it may need more than a translation to work here.

For that, send your resumé for a resumé edit ($29 CAD) and tick Translate my resumé into English (+$7 CAD). We translate it and rewrite it for employers here in one order.

No resumé yet?

Fill in the Build your resumé form in your own language and tick Translate my resumé into English on the last step. We create your resumé and deliver it in English. Cover letters have the same option.

Which languages?

Most languages, translated into English. If we cannot translate yours to the standard we expect, we tell you and refund your payment in full before any work starts.

What this is not

This is a translation for job applications, not a certified translation. Immigration applications, professional licensing bodies and credential evaluation services usually ask for a certified or official translation of documents such as diplomas and transcripts. We do not translate those documents.

For job titles, degrees and Canadian conventions, see how to translate your resumé into English.

Questions

Translation FAQ

Can you translate my resumé into English?

Yes. For $7 CAD ($5 USD outside Canada) we translate one resumé or cover letter into English, line by line, keeping your content and layout. Upload the file or paste the text, in any language. Want it rewritten for employers too? Order a resumé edit or a new resumé and tick "Translate my resumé into English" for $7 CAD more.

Can I write my details in my own language?

Yes. On the Build your resumé form, the cover letter form, or when you send a resumé for an edit, write in any language and tick the English translation box. We deliver your documents in English for $7 CAD ($5 USD) on top of the normal price.

Is your translation a certified translation?

No. We translate resumés and cover letters for job applications. Immigration applications, professional licensing bodies, and credential evaluation services usually ask for a certified or official translation of documents such as diplomas and transcripts, and ours does not replace that.

How do you translate job titles, schools, and degrees?

We use the closest plain English wording and keep the original name in brackets where it helps an employer, for example for a degree or a school. We do not claim a Canadian or American equivalent for a credential. If an employer asks for one, a credential evaluation service can provide it.
